When my Father passed away in 2006, my sister's friend Gerry gave us an azalea bush to plant in Daddy's memory. Sister Beth is not much of a gardener so she gave it to me to plant in my yard. I planted it right next to the front door and every Spring we are rewarded with a spectacular magenta show! I always struggle to capture the florescent color of the reds/pinks in flowers. You just can't match God's work! I always say "Love you Daddy" when she blooms, and send Beth a picture to share with Gerry. We are truly Blessed with a wonderful family and dear friends! In this painting I cut a few stems and put them in a little pewter creamer, a wedding gift from my cousin Teen.
